BlueOval SK, the joint venture between Ford and SK On, has begun battery production at its first Kentucky plant in Glendale. The facility will supply packs for the all-electric Ford F-150 Lightning and upgraded E-Transit vans. SK On, a subsidiary of SK Innovation, brings its battery expertise to the partnership. BlueOval SK will ultimately operate two plants in Glendale and one in Stanton, Tennessee, with all three expected online by 2025.
