Joining eight other automotive brands, BMW and its subsidiaries Rolls-Royce and MINI are joining the NACS standard for charging. Starting in 2025, all plug-in vehicles from these brands will begin using Tesla’s North American Charging Standard in the U.S. and Canada. Thus gaining access to Tesla’s Supercharger network.
BMW says it will remain committed to the independent high-powered electric vehicle charging network in North America. That collaboration with six other automakers is still ongoing.
