ChargePoint, Eaton Announce Express Grid Ultrafast V2G

ChargePoint and Eaton announced ChargePoint Express Grid, an ultrafast, vehicle-to-grid (V2G) capable charging architecture delivering up to 600 kW for passenger EVs and megawatt-level charging for heavy-duty vehicles. The system integrates ChargePoint’s Express chargers with Eaton’s end-to-end power management to address grid constraints, cut fueling costs, and support grid balancing through renewables, storage, and V2G.

Eaton will engineer site-ready configurations, including skid-mounted options for faster deployment, and plans to add solid-state transformer technology through its Resilient Power Systems acquisition. The solution debuts at the RE+ trade show in Las Vegas and will be available to select customers in North America and Europe starting in late 2026.

Executives from both companies emphasized the technology’s role in lowering costs, scaling electrification, and making EV adoption more economically compelling—even without subsidies.
