Hyliion, which makes a hybrid Class 8 tractor solution, is offering a free trial of their machines to fleets. The trial will allow fleet managers to put one of the trucks into their fleet for a week, alongside already-existing vehicles, and compare side-by-side to see what kind of savings potential the diesel-electric hybrid system offers. Most should be about 30 percent in fuel savings and significant savings in brake wear and maintenance.
“We are excited to offer our customers the chance to test a Hyliion enabled vehicle in their own day to day business operations. It is a big decision to adopt a new technology and the opportunity to take the truck for a trial run makes all the difference,” said Thomas Healy, Hyliion CEO and founder.
Hyliion is located in Austin, Texas and include tractors from most major truck makes including Volvo, Paccar, and Daimler.
