Hyundai Ioniq 5 N TA Sets New EV Record Lap

On February 15, 2025, at the ‘Attack Tsukuba 2025’ motorsport event in Japan, Hyundai Motor Company’s IONIQ 5 N TA (Time Attack) Spec set a new electric vehicle (EV) lap record at Tsukuba Circuit with a time of 57.446 seconds.

Driven by professional racer Nobuteru Taniguchi, the IONIQ 5 N TA Spec surpassed the previous EV record by nearly two seconds. This high-performance variant features a boosted output of 687 PS, enhanced rear motor power, and retains standard components in critical systems.

Additionally, Hyundai Mobility Japan showcased the IONIQ 5 N DK Edition, a collaboration with Autobacs Seven and racer Keiichi Tsuchiya, offering a high-performance parts package for enhanced road and track performance.
