Joining the fast-growing list of automakers moving to the Tesla North American Charging Standard (NACS) and its large network of chargers are Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis. They join eight other automotive brands who’ve already pledged to switch to NACS by the end of next year.
For the Hyundai-Kia brands, the switch will come in the fourth quarter of 2024, affecting all 2025 and later model year vehicles. The change will affect both U.S. and Canadian vehicles. Hyundai-Kia will offer adapters to current EV owners with the CCS plugs.
