Intel Gets Serious About Autonomous Driving Tech

The Intel Corporation has created a new sub-organization called the Automated Driving Group (ADG) whose focus is entirely on the future of driving and designing the next generation of advanced driver assist systems and autonomous driving solutions. The group was founded as part of Intel CEO Brian Krzanich’s vision for the future of automated vehicles.

ADG will be led by Doug Davis (pictured) who put his retirement plans on hold in order to take up this new office. Kathy Winter, formerly of the automated driving section at Delphi, will become Davis’ V.P. and general manager of the Automated Solutions Division of ADG.
