Kia Releases Specifications for New EV4

The Kia EV4 is the company’s first global, purpose-build electric compact sedan. It will launch first in Korea and then roll out to other markets, including North America, later this year.

• Built on Hyundai‑Kia’s E‑GMP platform with 400 V architecture.
• Two battery options:
  • Standard: 58.3 kWh
  • Long‑Range: 81.4 kWh
• Single 150 kW front‑wheel motor (283 Nm torque).
• WLTP range:
  • Sedan: 430 km (std), 630 km (LR)
  • Hatch: 410 km (std), 590 km (LR).
• DC fast‑charging 10‑80%: ~29–31 minutes; AC full charge: ~5h20 (std) / 7h15 (LR).
• Includes i‑Pedal 3.0, V2L & V2G functionality.

Performance & Driving Dynamics

• Acceleration (0–100 km/h):
  • Sedan & hatch: ~7.4 s (std), ~7.7 s (LR)
• Top speed: 170 km/h.
• Enhanced ride comfort via hydraulic motor mounts, aluminum brackets, reduced drivetrain noise/vibration.

Safety & ADAS

• Advanced driver-assistance suite:
  • Highway Driving Assist 2, Forward Collision‑Avoidance, Lane Following Assist, Smart Cruise, Blind‑Spot‑Collision Avoidance, Remote Parking Assist & more.
• Additional features: 12‑in. head-up display, Direct Grip Detection for ADAS engagement.

Tech & Connectivity

• Next‑gen infotainment with seamless AVNT interface and “Theater Mode” for parked use.
• Wireless Apple CarPlay / Android Auto, standard 6‑speaker + optional 8‑speaker Harman Kardon audio.
• Digital Key 2.0 (shareable with 15 devices), voice recognition, OTA updates, and Features‑on‑Demand.
