Lamborghini Introduces Lanzador Concept EV, “Ultra GT”

...

Lamborghini has unveiled a new concept electric vehicle, the Lanzador, at Monterey Car Week 2023. The carmaker says it’s “..a concrete vision of a future purely-electric fourth series production Lamborghini.” The Lanzador is a GT with 2+2 seating and is said to fit with the company’s decarbonization and electrification strategy.

With Lanzador we are looking into our future without forgetting our DNA. The first coupés from Lamborghini with their front engines were sporty, elegant Gran Turismos suitable for everyday use as 2+2-seaters. The concept for our fourth production model leverages our philosophy of super sportiness combined with brave new technologies and fearless design, perfectly fitting into our Direzione Cor Tauri strategy.” –Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini

The Lamborghini Lanzador has a motor on each axle with a peak power output of 1 mW. Vectoring for each axle can achieve both stability via all-wheel drive and driving performance with a rear bias. The Lanzador features active aerodynamics, active suspension, and adaptive torque distribution with individual wheel speed control.

The combination of these systems raises the driving behavior of the concept car to a new level compared to a super sports car with a combustion engine: it is an electric, super-intelligent Ultra GT.” –Rouven Mohr, CTO, Automobili Lamborghini

The Lanzador utilizes sustainable materials such as sustainably tanned leather, regenerated carbon, merino wool, synthetic fibers from recycled plastics, and 3D printing processes from recycled or sustainable materials.

“The Lanzador is not a whim of designers and engineers: it provides a concrete preview of the production vehicle that Lamborghini will present in 2028. The series production car based on the fourth model concept will be built in Sant’Agata Bolognese..” –Automobili Lamborghini Press Release
