Motiv Power Systems announces delivery of 1st of 7 walk-in vans

Motiv Power Systems has announced that the first of seven all-electric walk-in vans have been delivered to the United States Postal Service (USPS). The walk-ins are made from Ford E-450 vans made fully electric by Motiv.

These mail delivery vans are expected to save both fuel and maintenance costs for the USPS while being used as normal route delivery vehicles. This pilot program is meant to prove the concept in California’s Central Valley, with the first vehicle serving routes in Fresno. Others will be deployed in Fresno and Stockton as part of a year-long program.

The vans are part of the California Climate Investments plant, which is a statewide program that funds reduced greenhouse gas emissions projects via cap-and-trade dollars from corporations paying for emissions.
