The open access study is published in the Journal of Industrial Ecology and found that for a 300-mile range midsized electric SUV versus its ICE equivalent, lifetime costs varies by 40 percent across locations, depending heavily on local fuel prices and charging access options.

HL Mando Developing Autonomous Valet Parking System
HL Mando in South Korea is designing a self-driving, autonomous valet parking robot called Parkie. The company plans to have a working prototype for field testing in early 2025.

Siemens To Add 1,000 VW ID.4 EVs to Fleet

Nikola Produced 42 Hydrogen Fuel Cell Class 8 Trucks In 2023
Nikola Corporation has announced that it produced 42 Class 8 Nikola hydrogen fuel cell electric trucks and wholesaled 35 of those to customers. The seven trucks not sold are being used in field testing with a fleet partner or in continued validation and engineering. Two are designated for service/training and customer demonstrations.

Hyundai, Kia, Gore To Develop Polymer Electrolyte Membrane for Fuel Cell Systems
Hyundai and Kia have signed an agreement with WL Gore to collaborate on the development of an advanced polymer electrolyte membrane for hydrogen fuel cell systems. The goal is to developed advanced systems for commercial vehicles with high durability and performance requirements.
