IDTechEx Predicts 24% of Airplane Sales Will Be Electric by 2045
Pro-EV study group IDTechEx is predicting that despite there being only one model of EV aircraft available today, the market will be 24 percent electric by 2045. Most of that adoption, the group predicts, will happen between 2025 and 2035.

Global EV Charging Infrastructure Needs 500% Growth By 2030
The latest figures on World EV Day (Sept. 9) indicate that key western markets are behind in electric vehicle infrastructure adoption. The U.S. needs a million more charging points by 2030 (550 percent increase), Europe needs a 5.5-fold increase, and the United Kingdom needs a 350 percent increase.

SLB Lithium Plant In Nevada Reaches 96% Lithium Recovery Rate
A production demonstration plant in Nevada has reached scaled production of 96 percent efficiency. The lithium production facility in Clayton Valley, Nevada combines subsurface and surface engineering for direct lithium extraction. It produces a finished product about 500 times faster than conventional methods while using less land area.

Factorial Introduces Solstice All-Solid-State Battery
Factorial and Mercedes-Benz have announced Solstice, a new energy-dense all-solid-state battery. Aiming for 450Wh/kg, the battery incorporates a novel dry cathode design.
