Porsche has taken a ten percent stake in Rimac Automobili, an electric sports car technology developer. Rimac develops and produces EV components and electric-powered super sports cars. Porsche developed the partnership to advance its own electrification efforts.
Rimac unveiled its hyper sports car, the C_Two, at the Geneva Motor Show. The car features a top speed of 256 mph, a 0-60 mph time of 1.85 seconds, and a range of 404 miles per charge. The C_Two’s battery pack delivers 120 kWh of stored energy and 1.4MW of power, enough to run tow full laps of the Nurburgring circuit without losing performance. Other innovations Porsche might be interested in include the Rimac car’s torque vectoring system and four-motor propulsion system.
